ASCC to Offer Legacy Safety Leadership Program at Annual Conference in September

ST. LOUIS, MO, May 14, 2015 – The American Society of Concrete Contractors (ASCC), St. Louis, MO, will offer the Legacy Safety Leadership Program on September 25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its Annual Conference in Dallas, TX. The Legacy Program was designed and developed by cement and ready-mix giant CEMEX.

The Leadership Workshop is a behavioral-based course designed and developed to promote a cultural change in the way companies currently operate. Using PowerPoint, a manual and a 360 survey, the Leadership Workshop will provide executive and safety directors the tools, skills and behaviors to lead safer and more efficient operations and to achieve the goal of zero incidents. The two-day program is being customized to focus on the contracting community.

“Featuring the Legacy Program at the Annual Conference is one piece in meeting Goal #1 of ASCC’s strategic plan,” says Scott Greenhaus, council director of ASCC’s Safety and Risk Management Council. Goal #1 is to increase the number of (ASCC member) owners who truly demonstrate a personal commitment to safety.”

Registration for the Safety Leadership Workshop at the Annual Conference has opened in May at ascconline.org. The cost of the Legacy Safety Leadership Program Workshop materials is $50 and attendance is limited to 40.
