Schwing Adds Stationary Pump Western Regional Manager

Schwing America has added a Western regional manager for its popular line of stationary pumps. Rich Ellis, former regional manager for boom pumps in the territory, will have expanded geographical responsibilities, covering the entire western half of the U.S. and Canada. “The demand for the stationary pump products requires a dedicated regional manager to provide the customer service expected from Schwing,” according to Tom O’Malley, vice president, general manager for concrete pumps.

Ellis is returning to his roots with the company. He started out as a stationary pump salesperson with the company 18 years ago. As regional manager, Rich will be responsible for supporting Schwing stationary pump dealers and customers with application expertise and product knowledge. With more than 14 models of stationary pumps available as trailer, truck or skid-mounting, Schwing covers a wide spectrum of the market including concrete, shotcrete and pumping contractors. Models are able to do everything from pump pea gravel for patios to hard rock concrete to the top of the Freedom Tower, more than 1,610 feet vertically.

“Choosing the right pump and sizing it for the application is essential to customer satisfaction,” O’Malley emphasizes, “Rich is perfectly suited to that role with his experience and technical expertise.”
