Schwing Adds Vice President of Operations

Responding to increased demand for the company’s concrete equipment, Schwing America has hired a new vice president of operations, Arne King. “We are bringing increased efficiency to Schwing’s purchasing, quality control and manufacturing,” states Brian Hazelton, Schwing’s CEO, “with the end result being even higher standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction.” King’s background lends itself to the job, having held similar positions at Pentair, manufacturers of pumping systems and WEIR mining equipment.

“My role is to fit the operations process to the customer’s needs,” Arne says, “which includes flexibility and efficiency to match the ebb and flow of the marketplace.” King’s philosophy of manufacturing incorporates lean systems, supply chain optimization and operational excellence. “I am pleased to be involved with a great brand, focused management and dedicated employees.”

“Every customer has to analyze the value proposition that Schwing brings to the market place. Our design and components are industry-leading and Arne is here to make the internal process the equal of our designs,” according to Hazelton. “With Arne and other additions to the Schwing staff, we are confident we will maintain brand loyalty and a strong market share position.”
