Even
though last year’s statistics
indicate 80% of our concrete pumpers registered
for World of Concrete on-line, the WOC registration
form is the beginning of an intense ACPA
marketing plan to sign-up up registrants
using ACPA’s
code (A23).
So
why is using the A-23 code so important?
Because ACPA along with 25 other co-sponsoring
associations, receive a rebate from WOC management.
Based upon the number of persons who register
and attend the WOC show, floor space of association
booth, years of participation, and seminars
sponsored, Hanley-Wood, managers of WOC,
allocates a specified dollar amount every
year to be divided up amongst all the
co-sponsoring associations. We use
this rebate as one of our main sources of
income to fund many association activities
such as operator safety seminars, development
of new videos, manuals, and many other projects
important to our industry.
To
our surprise and disappointment, we learned
that last year almost 1000 concrete pumpers
attended WOC 2005 without giving credit to
the ACPA. Those 1000 pumpers not only paid
the full registration price, which would have
been free, but they also could have substantially
increased ACPA's share of the rebate.
You
don’t
have to be an ACPA “concrete
pumper” to use the ACPA A23
code. Anyone can use it. You can
even offer free registration and
discounted seminars to your customers,
or anyone else who would like to
attend WOC.
It’s
a win-win for everyone. You can use our A23
form included in this magazine, or register
through this website, as well
as any ACPA manufacturer’s
website and many ACPA members’ sites.
Or if you prefer, call our office
and we’ll
be happy to sign you up over
the phone.
Finally,
to all you 1000 pumpers who didn’t
sign up using the ACPA code – we’ll
be contacting you! |
